Lovenskate – I Think It’s Your Mind

The folks at Lovenskate and Grey Skate Mag have dropped the new short edit “I Think It’s Your Mind” – a video by Jackson Davis. I’m obviously very stoked on this because long time homie of The Terrible Company and all round skateboarding wizard Lucas Healey skates for Lovenskate, and features quite prominently in the video. He’s joined by a few other personal favourites of the blog such as Birmingham No Comply connoisseur Alice Smith, and the transition slaying killer duo of Alex Hallford and Jordan Thackeray.

Filmed across a huge selection of terrain here, there and everywhere across the globe, the team take to all manner of wacky spots, including the inside of a boat, Burnside and transitioned roofs. The whole thing has a bit of an unofficial tour video vibe to it, feeling like a chilled out road trip with beach shots, beautiful architecture and, of course, rad skateboarding.

There are far too many tricks to note here that are incredible – Jordan skating Livingstone is a raw chunk of the video that is a real pleasure to see, as he forces Frontside 5-0 grinds on the rough as fuck coping, and hits gaps over fences using ingenuous lines. Alex Hallford always manages to pull out the most mind-boggling transition tricks, making you ask “How did he do that?” with at least one trick in every line.

Clocking in at 8 minutes, obviously I would love for this thing to be longer, but it’s short and sweet, and definitely worth 2 or 3 watches just to catch all of the awesome tricks that go down throughout. Definitely make sure you catch Lucas’ fucking mental ollie up Nollie 360 on a bank, as well as his wallride grind to Nollie 180 out. That boy’s bloody good. Maybe a skateboarding blog with a history of making skateboard videos should film something with him….
