It’s utterly disgusting that there are people who would want to steal anything from guys like Jim T Skin, especially as they walked into the shop mid-afternoon and attempted to walk out with 3 bikes. Luckily, guys like Tony McGregor (ex-boxing legend) who owns a shop down the road, and the amazing chap who tried to run the thieves over with his van came to the rescue. Jim managed to get all 3 of the bikes back, and the scumbags got away with nothing.
These are probably the same kind of idiots who broke into Ideal during the riots earlier this year – they think they’re fighting against “society” and taking what they think they deserve, but at the end of the day it’s a selfish, childish and completely foolish way of behaving that proves that they don’t deserve a damn thing.
Skate shops and bike shops are ran by normal people who are just trying to get by, not massive corporations with millions of pounds, and every bad thing that happens to these businesses affects the whole community. Times are tough (with recession still in full effect) and having clueless arseholes trying to steal stuff from you is not making things easier.
